Completed my PLCGS!

I have been taking courses through the National Institute for Genealogical Studies for the last five years. This week, I received my grade for the final course of my 40 course requirement, rewarding me with the postnomials "PLCGS" (Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies)! Within this course work, I completed advanced certificates in General Methodology and in Canadian Studies, and an intermediate certificate in Irish Studies. It's been a long haul but definitely worth it, because I think it's really important to have an educational basis before launcing into a professional career.

I'm going to reward myself this week by indulging in some personal research into my French Canadian ancestors- the Lamoureux family.
